Gift Wrapped by Nitrome

Nitrome has a good new game for the holidays and this one is significantly easier than the last one I reviewed.

There's no story to this game. The objective is to find as many of your gifts as possible. While you play, a 16-bit rendition of Jingle Bells will ring through your ears.

As you'd expect from Nitrome, the graphics and music are very well-done. Your goal is to collect as many presents as possible. You are given a group of presents and if you collect the wrapping paper that looks like the present seen in the box at the top, you get points and some extra time and move onto the next set of gifts. If you choose the wrong gift, you lose time and move onto the next set of gifts. You lose if the timer runs out.

This game is pretty good. It's far from the most engaging game Nitrome has ever made and the monotonous gameplay can get old after a while, but it is still a festive treat worth checking out.
