Annotations Restored for YouTube by Isaackei

Are you one of those pre-smartphone YouTubers who misses annotation? If so, here's the extension for you!
Before we had end screens, we had these!

Who made it?: This extension was made by someone who goes by the name Isaackei.

Story: True to its title, this is an extension restores YouTube annotations. For those wondering what I'm talking about, annotations were something YouTube had before smartphones became widespread. They were little boxes that either held little notes on them or linked to other YouTube videos. They were different from today's end screens and cards in that they could be posted all over the video rather than just the last couple of seconds and they didn't work on mobile. Before they were removed in 2019, many people used them to make games on YouTube, a few of which I've reviewed in the past.

Presentation: For the annotations themselves, they consist of multicolored boxes with words in them and little clear square outlines. As for the extension itself, the popup is very basic, merely showing the annotations available on each video and when they show up.

How to play: This extension is incredibly simple to use. Just go to any YouTube videos and see what pops up. If you wanna test the extension out yourself, I have a playlist of interactive YouTube videos right here.

Gameplay: This extension works on most YouTube videos I know had annotations in the past. Truth be told even if some videos got carried away with them, it's really nostalgic seeing little boxes with notes in them pop in up in pre 2020s videos. It's also nice playing old YouTube games like Deliver Me to Hell and Survive the Outbreak without having to scroll for comments for links or searching for playlists that have all the videos. Unfortunately it doesn't work with every pre-2019 video with annotations, though given the sheer amount of videos there are that's to be expected.

Final Verdict: This is a solid extension for any fan of old YouTube, especially those who want to play those really old interactive videos.
