My Day off Work by Andrew J. Schaefer
I didn't think that a game where you play a guy deciding how to spend his day off would be that enjoyable, but leave it to Andre J. Schaefer to show me otherwise.

The story here is way simpler than other Choice of Games adventures. Whereas their other games have you doing things like surviving a zombie apocalypse or trying to convince the world that your doctor is out to get you, your just enjoying your day off while the office is closed.
Like most of Choice of Games' adventures and most of the interactive stories I covered on this blog, this game is a text based adventure with no graphics or music, so you'll have to use your imagination here. Depending on what device you play this on, you use either a mouse or your finger to click on the available choices on each level. You have 24 in-game hours to play this game. Every action you do takes up a varying amount of time and certain paths open up or close depending on the time. There is also an element of surprise to this game that makes every playthrough different.
What I like about this game is the freedom of choice. You can stay at home all day or go out on the town. You can get dinner with friends (provided your on time), go to the beach, hang out at a coffee shop, or just stay in bed all day. You can even do jackass things you'd never do in real life like punch out a confederate guy or go out on the town in your birthday suit (and eventually get arrested for it). As stated above, there are also surprises that happen. For example: you can get hit by a car and wind up at the hospital, be asked near the end of the day to watch after someone's baby, attend a movie event, or just catch up with a business acquaintance. This game is a lot of fun, but there is one thing I hate about it. Sometimes during a long run you'll encounter a screen that has you wait for 5 minutes. That doesn't sound like much, but you can't do anything during this sequence and for me anyways, the tab has to be reloaded before you can continue playing.
Although this is one of the more mundane games in the Choice of Games library, it is still a game I highly recommend you play. If anything, it'll let you sort of live an outside while your stuck indoors for whatever reason.
