Google snake game

Bet you didn't know that Google had some games built into it's world famous search engine. This is just one of them.

It's a Titanoboa of a game!

Who made it?: This is one of several games hidden within Google's search engine. You can play it by searching "play snake" or clicking the link above.

Story: It's just like the original arcade and mobile phone version: You play a snake and your goal is to get as high a score as possible.

Presentation: This isn't the most outstanding looking game I've ever played, but it nonetheless looks really nice. It's really cute how the snake smiles when they're next to a fruit. Unfortunately it doesn't have any music unless you count the beeps that play whenever you change the snake's direction.

How to play: Depending on what device you're playing this on, you use either the arrow keys or your fingers to change the snake's direction.

Gameplay: This game plays just like the og version: You run around eating apples and getting bigger with each one, and you lose if you run into either a wall or the snake's ever growing body. It is really fun in its original mode, but what makes this game really good is the customization options. Among other things you can control the snake's speed, the size of the board, the colors of both and the type of plant-based food you want. You can also change how you play this game. Some options include controlling 2 snakes at once, having a segment snake, having blocks pop up every time you collect a fruit or you can even combine game modes for a whole new experience.

Final Verdict: This is a faithful port of the original snake game from the Nokia 3310 days and the ability to customize it makes it endlessly replayable. Just be ready to commit to it when you decide to play, as it doesn't have a pause button.
