Robotic Emergence by Robby Scherer

With this game, Robby Scherer puts a unique spin on the tower defense genre.
The perfect robot army, brought to you by Skynet!

These games have a dark story. In the first game, humanity has left the earth after pollution levels reach catastrophic levels, letting robots take the planet over. In the second game, the humans have returned and are ready to take the planet back from the robots.

Both games have a cool retro style and feature some nicely done background music. These games play quite differently from other tower defense games. Your goal in this game is to destroy your enemies wall while keeping your own wall protected. Instead of building turrets that shoot at all enemies in their range, you build factories to product a large variety of robots to overwhelm your opponents. Each factory you make will send out roads in any of 4 directions and start production if they connect to any preexisting roads. You can upgrade the robot production rate, speed, health, power, range and firing speed. You can also drop EMPs on the field, increase your wall's health and in the 2nd game buy various structures to boost the stats of nearby factories. Sometimes the weather changes from sunny to stormy, at which point any conductive robots run the risk of being instantly destroyed by lightning.

Yes it's a little different from most tower defense games, but that shouldn't scare tower defense fans from giving it a go. As soon as you buckle down you're in for a war of good fun. Just a quick note: the games tend to lag a little if there are hundreds of shots on the screen.
