Jek Porkins and Ponda Baba in Haunted House Candy Hunt by I-Mockery
Once again, we cover a retro-style game by I-Mockery. The scariest thing about this haunted house it it's brutal difficulty.
Jek Porkins and Ponda Baba are best friends. They want to get the Grim Reaper's candy hoard, so they try to go through his house. They hold hands so that they don't lose each other.
Much like Don't Look Back, tonight's game has a cool Atari 2600 theme to the graphics, except this game is more colorful and it also sounds like it came from the Atari 2600. You use the arrow keys to walk, jump, climb and crawl and the Z key to kick. This game is incredibly hard. Many enemies are placed in tight areas, while others come flying in across the screen. You're kick has a short range, forcing you to get very close to an enemy and risk getting hit. Fortunately, you can survive one hit before death and some levels have chairs and jack-o-lanterns that you can kick at enemies.
To wrap up, this game is good, but it a nightmare to beat. I'd say it's slightly easier than Pause Ahead, but only because it doesn't force you to use a hard to master pause ability. If you like retro style and/or highly challenging games, you should definitely give this a chance.
If you're expecting an easy ride, prepare to be smeckledorfed! |
