Catch The Freaks by Kol-Belov

This spooky title is also called "The Game", which both you and I lost.
Goblins, vampires and demon puppets, oh my!

This game comes in 2 versions. The first has a red background, while the 2nd version is orange to match the Halloween theme. Each level has you playing a different creature (A gas mask wearing... thing in the 1st, a vampire in the 2nd and a puppet in the 3rd & final), but the goal remains the same: Capture enough freaks while avoiding flying projectiles to win.

The graphics are pretty well made. The music is pretty repetitive, but they will stay in your head for a while. The gameplay is extremely simple. You move from side to side and swoop down to catch any life forms that pass by. The difficulty is another story. The targets move pretty quickly and you have to get 400 points to beat the level you're on, though the Halloween version lets you play an easy mode that reduces the goal to 250 points. To complicate things, you also have to dodge projectiles that lower your score on contact.

This game proves that sometimes simple is best. It won't hook you for hours, but it is perfect for a short distraction.
