Ninja Kiwi's best series of games: Bloons Tower Defense.

The first 3 games are really simple, but still quite fun. The towers in the first 2 games have 2 upgrades each, while the 3rd game gives each tower 2 more. These upgrades are separated between 2 paths. The graphics here are pretty good, but nothing worth hanging in a museum. There also isn't any music.

The 4th game manages to improve upon the previous 3. It has better graphics and its sole music track is done quite well. This time, the upgrades for each tower are on one path, but the 4th upgrade vastly increases the tower's efficiency. There is also an expansion to this game on the Ninja Kiwi website that you should play.

Bloons Tower Defense 5 is the 5th entry in this series and easily one of the best web games that I've ever played. The graphics are quite pleasing to look at and the music is very calming. The upgrades are split between 2 paths again, but this time each path has 4 upgrades. The 3rd & 4th upgrades make your units far more effective and add some more features in exchange for locking the other path's final upgrades.
The 5th game also has a few spin-offs. The first is BTD Battles, where you try to send Bloons to defeat opponents while building towers to defend against Enemy Bloons. The other is Bloons Monkey City, which adds tile capuring and building to the TD gameplay.
In conclusion, this is one of the best series of games that you will find online. Each game build upon the previous ones while adding some new content of its own (for example, the second game introduces the Boomerang Monkey and the sharp object-proof Lead Bloon). I highly recommend giving these games a look and downloading the mobile versions.
