Blockhead Game by The Swain and Komix Games

The Internet's biggest idiot has his own game. Who saw that coming?
If you think this is bad, try babysitting Patrick!

What we have here is a point-n-click game staring Blockhead. For those who don't know, Blockhead is a series of web animations about an extremely dim-witted person who causes mass destruction everywhere he goes, while his conscious struggles to control him. In this game, Blockhead goes out to buy a new television, only to be caught up in an FBI mission. It is your job to guide Blockhead to wherever he needs to go in each level.

The animation is limited, but it looks pretty good. The music is pretty upbeat and each level has a different theme to it. The game is quite hard. Blockhead becomes harder to control the lower his attention span is. He will also move towards any NPC or object that gets in his path. Anytime he does something to annoy his conscious, the anger bar fills up and when it reaches full, you lose. To prevent Blockhead from breaking an object, you have to press the interrupt button when he flashes green and then move him somewhere else. There are 3 more buttons on the control panel. The bad idea button makes you temporarily lose control of Blockhead in exchange for not taking any anger damage. The panic button instantly fills Blockhead's attention span, but pressing it again while it's recharging breaks it for the rest of the level. The item button lets you use whatever item you have. Each item has a different use, from reducing the anger bar to preventing the attention span from going red.

All in all, this game can be frustrating at times, but it is still loads of fun to play. The Swain and Komix Games did a good job making this project a reality. If you're a Blockhead fan like I am, you should definitely play this game.
