Thrash or Die by Skeleton Crew
In this game you either thrash the competition or get left out to die (and trust me, you're gonna die a lot)!

Some mooks are gonna die tonight! |
Who made it?: This game was produced by Skeleton Crew and made by a team consisting of Lumpy Touch, Rainbow Cemetery, Ross Dewey and I-Mockery creator Roger Barr.
Story: You play as Thrashor, a rad, skateboarding, Power Glove wearing zombie and your goal is to go down a street beating up thugs and a giant slime boss.
Presentation: The game rocks a really cool 8-bit look. It has 2 music tracks for the title screen and actual game and they sound pretty good. Being a game that the creator of I-Mockery worked on, there's quite a few references sprinkled throughout. For example, Thrashor wears a Power Glove and can shoot out what are basically Hadokens, while the final boss has the heads of Skeletor, Mister T, Cobra Commander, My Pet Monster and Robo Cop.
How to play: They can be changed in the options menu, but by default: The arrow keys move, Z does a quick punch, X does a slower but stronger kick, holding z charges up a ranged energy attack, pressing both fire buttons makes Thrashor jump and pressing either attack button while airborne makes him jump kick. When you attack enemies you fill up two meters, a Power Glove meter and a Rad meter. When the former meter is filled you can launch energy balls by holding the punch button. When the latter meter is full you can do what's called a "Rad Attack", where you jump on your skateboard and ride back and forth laying waste to all enemies you hit. This game can also be played with a Bluetooth gamepad if you desire.
Gameplay: The game plays like Double Dragon, where your going around beating up thugs that are out for your blood. Also like Double Dragon, it's a really fun and satisfying game that doesn't take too long. In fact, there's only one level to this game's name. Despite the short length, this game isn't easy by any means. The enemies will always combo you if they manage to hit you and the boss is an attack spamming pain in the rear whose only vulnerable if you can deflect one of his attacks back at him. While Thrashor can take a beating, he only has three lives to work with and losing all three means back to the beginning.
Final Verdict: I'm not gonna say this is the best game ever made (let's be real, comparing this game to Abobo's Big Adventure would be like comparing a combo meal from McDonald's to a steak that you grilled in your backyard), but it's still a really cool game.
