Idle Fish

If you liked looking at fish tanks at your childhood doctor's office, this is the game for you.

Watch some virtual fishies and save the real world oceans at the same time!

Who made it?: This game comes to us from a company called Yizhiyuan Network Technology.

Story: There isn't a story here. All your doing here is buying fish and putting them in a virtual tank.

Presentation: The game looks alright. Nothing spectacular, but the art style is nice and I like the swimming animation each fish has. The music is also nice and relaxing.

How to play: You buy fish and put them in a tank. You don't have to feed them or anything, just watch them swim and somehow make money. You can recall these fishes back to the grid at the bottom and merge two fishes of the same type together to get better fish that make more money per second. You can also earn gems that you can use to buy high level fish. You can earn these either by doing tasks or winning them from a wheel minigame.

Gameplay: Much like Cookie Clicker, this is a game that plays itself. You purchase and upgrade your fishes to make more money overtime, but that's all. Ok, there's a bit more to this game. You can spin a wheel to earn in-game currency or one of two mini games. In one you get three fish bowls and try to guess which player is rich. In the other you destroy fish in another bowl to earn money.

Final Verdict: It won't blow you away, but this is a pretty good game to watch or have play in the background while you do something else. Plus, the site I linked to, OceanHero, raises money to help remove trash from the ocean while you play. Granted this does come from ads that show up every now and then, but that's a small price to pay for helping clean the oceans.
